Obituary for Louis Jeno Martinelli
Martinelli, Louis Jeno – 89 of Cresson. Passed away May 6, 2017 in Hollidaysburg. He was born on May 25, 1927 in Johnstown. He was the son of Joseph and Ottorina (Pasi) Martinelli. Jeno is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Diane Hearty, his son, Randy Martinelli and his sisters: Rena Haidet and Jean Mignogna.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Rosemarie (Gerlisky). They were married on January 17, 1948 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Portage. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Todd Hearty, Jennifer Kraft, Allison Petrusky, Shawn Martinelli, Brian Martinelli and numerous Great Grandchildren; a sister Rosella Howeison and sister-in-law: Gladys Mutch.
Jeno proudly served his Country as a Seaman First Class in the United States Navy during WWII. He and his wife, Rosemarie, owned and operated, the former Martinelli’s Restaurant in Lilly for 23 years.
At Jeno’s request there will be no viewing or visitation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Portage. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Jeno’s name to the Blair County Humane Society. On line condolences may be made at www.decortfh.com.
