Obituary for Albert C. Nemec, Sr.
Nemec, Albert C., Sr. “Al” – 72 of Lilly, Portage Township, passed away on May 6, 2021 in Johnstown after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 10, 1948 in Portage. He was the son of Veronica and George Nemec. Al is preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings: Paula, Mary Helen, Anna, Verna, George, John, Joseph and Anthony.
He is survived by his wife Susan Lingafelt-Roles of Lilly, and his children: Albert Nemec, Jr. and wife Shannon of Patton, George Nemec and wife Jaime of Patton, Tina Nemec, Celina wife of Ryan Vinglass of Monroeville; Robbie Lingafelt of Lilly, Dan Roles of Lilly and Justina Lingafelt of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Kendra, Meghan, George, Jr. Kaiden, Mela, James, Marissa, Taylor, Alexia and Brad. Al is the brother of Michael Nemec of Portage and Cecilia Baer of Portage.
Albert served his Country Proudly. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Al was a member of the Jamestown Rod and Gun and of the Benscreek Social and Citizens Club.
Family will receive friends from 2PM until 4PM service on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home Inc. in Portage, Fr. Edward Pyo, officiant.
