Obituary for Alex R. "Bob" Nagy
Nagy, Alex R. “Bob” – 72 of Portage, passed away on June 27, 2019 at home. He was born on April 20, 1947 in Johnstown. Bob was the son of Steven and Julia (Novotny) Nagy. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Sharon (Townsend) Nagy and their children: Stephen Nagy and wife Sharon of East Freedom, Robert “Bob” and wife Jodi of Portage and Wendy wife of Marcelino Flores of Portage. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Justine, Nevaeh, Deagan, Julie, Elliot and Esabela and his brothers: Steven Nagy and wife Barb of Portage, George Nagy and wife Vicky of Glen Burnie, MD and Mike Nagy and companion Judy Ference of Portage. Bob was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was a lifetime member of the Portage Volunteer Fire Company.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc in Portage. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Portage, Fr. Thomas Stabile, celebrant. Committal will be private to the family.
