Crum, Allen Ray - 83 of Portage. Passed away on June 8, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Born May 21, 1932 in Portage. The son of William and Verda (Sease) Crum. Preceded in death by parents, wife Dorothy Jean (Chappell) , daughter Raeanne Ross., and siblings: Elma, William, Charles, Richard, Eugene and Melvin "Bud". Survived by sons: Dave and wife Bobbie (Wallis) and Bill and wife Kelly (LeCrone) all of Manteo, NC. Also survived by grandchildren: Randi (Mike); Corey, Heidi, Tyler, Casey, Aaron, Alexandra "Alex" and great granddaughter: Laiken Rae. Brother of Robert "Rob" Crum of OH. He was a Korean War Army Veteran and a Life Member of The Portage Area Volunteer Fire Company. Ray was a good friend to all that knew him and he was always there to lend a hand. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. of Portage where funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, Reverend Paula Dell Campbell, officiant. Committal to follow in Mount Union Cemetery in Summerhill.
