Piper, Alma J. – 85 of Portage, passed away on February 28, 2022 in Harrisburg. She was born on November 7, 1936 in Salix, PA. Alma was the daughter of Ralph and Austie (Adams) Miller. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Nelson Piper, her son: Vincent Miller, grandddaugther: Brandy Miller, brother: Ralph Miller, daughter-in-law: LeLou Miller, a good friend for many years: Herb Richards.
She is survived by her loving sons: Ralph Miller of Portage and Edward Miller and husband William Hershey of Harrisburg. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Malinda Miller and Fiance’, Eric Atobaba and Edward Miller, II, a grand dog: Scruffie and great grandchildren: MaryRose, Sarahfina and Eric, Jr. and a good friend Nancy Deimler of Harrisburg. Alma was an active member of the Portage Christian and Missionary Alliance Church until her health began to fail. She was a former, dedicated, employee of Randall Motors in Portage and she enjoyed making baked goods for the all the employees.
