Obituary for Ava R. Myers
Myers, Ava Rose, 15 of Portage, passed away on May 7, 2024 at home. She was born on December 27, 2008 in Johnstown. Ava was the daughter of Emmily Myers and Adam Starry. She is preceded in death by her great grandmother, Tessie Myers and her uncle Luke Eckenrode.
Ava is survived by her parents and her siblings: Cynder, Maddy, Keegan, Gannon and Leeland. She is also survived by her grandparents, Barbara Litzinger, Ed Shedlock, Lola Long, Eddie Myers, Richard Kline, Jr. and Janet Kline and Tina Brown, her aunts and uncle, Sara and Tony Casto and Roberta Eckenrode, her cousins, Gabby Casto and Lilly Eckenrode and her best friend, Josslynn Foster.
Ava was a 9th grade student at Portage Area School District, where she enjoyed being with her friends and being involved in the music program. She loved spending time with her family and loved going fishing. Ava loved to give hugs to her family and her friends.
A celebration of Ava’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 18th, 2024 at 1PM at The Hammers Street Church of God in Portage, Pastor Tracy Blystone. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses. The Myers Family is being served by the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. in Portage.
