Obituary for Betty Ann Cadwallader
Cadwallader, Betty Ann – 96 of Portage, passed away on November 7th, 2020 in Portage. She was born on September 30, 1924 in Benscreek, Portage Township. She was the daughter of Michael and Anna (Shedlock) Gruss. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: James Cadwallader, an infant son and her siblings: Mary Curtis, Andrew Gruss, Bertha Andring, Sabina Swanhart and Helen Zale. She is survived by her children: Robert Cadwallader; David Cadwallader; Marianne wife of Kenneth Borlie; Brian Cadwallader and Darlene wife of Michael Fox, all of Portage. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jennifer wife of Jason Coudriet of MD; Aimee wife of Larry Riggleman of Gallitzin, PA; Kenny Borlie and wife Robyn (Burke) of CO; Jessica wife of Gary Buck II of Portage; Michael Fox of VA and Lindsay Fox and Fiance’ Terrence Trusik of Portage; Great Grandchildren: Madelyn and Tristan Coudriet; Ava and Brinlee Riggleman; Lana and Asher Borlie and Haleigh and Josie Buck. Betty was an avid Steelers, PennState and Pirates Fan. She loved to read, play cards and cook for her family. Most important to Betty was helping to raise her grandchildren. At the Family’s request and due to Covid-19 the viewing and funeral service will be private to the family. Committal will be held at St. Mary Cemetery in Portage.
