Fedorko (Castel), Betty Jean, passed away in the late evening of December 13, 2023. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. Some people only walk this earth for a short time, while Betty walked this earth for 94 1/2 years. She had an amazingly strong heart, which contributed to the amount of love she had for others.

Betty lived a full life of joy and finding the hidden gems in her journey. Her goal was to remain independent by living on her own and finding pleasure in the small everyday moments of life. Through all of life’s circumstances, she was an example of unconditional love. She was a kind-hearted person who shared her love through cooking and ensuring all around her were fed and happy. Betty loved to laugh, play cards, and spend time with her family. Betty enjoyed sending greeting cards to friends and family throughout the year to let them know she was thinking of them. Betty was a compassionate and caring mother, grandmother, and friend. She left a legacy of what it means to live an abundant life, not defined by physical belongings but by the energy that she exuded. Betty was a shining example of what it means to love unconditionally- not only when convenient. She displayed the true meaning of appreciating the gift of life. Through her actions, Betty left an imprint that inspires those who knew her to embrace the ups and downs of life’s journey while continuing to be grateful for what we have. Even though she will be greatly missed here on earth, we all are comforted to know that she earned her angel wings and will forever watch over us until we meet again.
