Obituary for Brady M. Flynn
Flynn, Brady M., passed away peacefully at home on July 14, 2022 at the age of 17, following a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was born on May 20, 2005 in Johnstown. Brady was the son of Michael J. and Amanda (Brunnet) Flynn.
He was currently a student a Penn Cambria Highschool and also, up until the last year, attended Admiral Peary Vo-Tech, where he was enrolled in the Masonry Program. Brady enjoyed spending time with his family, his dog Tyson, playing video games and participating in Karate, in which he held his black belt. He was an active member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Polish National Catholic Church in Lilly.
He is preceded in death by his great grandmother: Margaret Chappell. He is survived by his loving parents, Michael and Amanda Flynn of Lilly; his sisters, Kayla and husband Karl Keiser of Portage, Ashlee and husband Austin Bowen of Vacaville, CA and his brother, Michael Flynn and wife Ileana of Vacaville, CA. He also leaves behind his maternal grandparents, Randy Brunnet of Portage, Beth and Gary Waskowsky of Lilly; his paternal grandparents, Norma and Arthur Flynn of Portage and his nephews Colton and Elijah and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Brady will also be dearly missed by his Jones Street Family.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM on Monday, July 18, 2022 at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. in Portage. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Polish National Catholic Church in Lilly. Committal will be private to the immediate family. In lieu of flowers please make donation to the Ronald McDonald House, 451 44th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201 and/or to UPMC Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh, One Children Hospital Drive, 4401 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15224.
