Obituary for C. Carol Bucynski
Bucynski, C. Carol – 96 of Lilly, passed away on November 2, 2022 in Altoona. She was born on January 2, 1926 in Cresson. She was the daughter of Eugene and Katherine (Moore) Glass. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Joseph L. Bucynski, her sons: James D. and Thomas J. “Tucker” Bucynski and her son-in-law: Thomas J. Cox.
Carol is survived by her children: Toni Cox of Cresson, John Bucynski of Loretto and Beth Ann Whited of Northern Cambria. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jason Bloom, Kirk Bucynski, T.J. Bucynski, Randy Bucynski, Kristy Ellis, Justin Cox, Ryan Bucynski, Adam Bucynski, Brandon Whited, Taylor “Baby” Whited and 14 Great Grandchildren. Carol was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She enjoyed cooking and baking with the church ladies and for her family and friends. She was an active member of Our Lady of the Alleghenies Church in Lilly. Carol also enjoyed volunteering at the Red Cross Blood Drives, crocheting and word searches. One thing that Carol loved was her chocolate and her ice cream.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 PM on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. in Portage. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Alleghenies Church in Lilly, Fr. Matthew Reese. Committal will be held in St. Brigid Cemetery in Lilly.
