Obituary for Calvin M. "Mike" Decort
Decort, Calvin M. “Mike” – 74 of Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Portage, passed away on April 10, 2023. He was born on June 8, 1948 in Portage. Mike was the son of Joseph “Ralph” and Ethel “Erma” (George) Decort-Mulligan. He is preceded in death by his parents, his former wife and mother of his children: Suzanne (Sheppard) Decort, his sister: Shirley Fish, his brother: Ralph “Skip” Decort and his nephew: Thomas J. Decort.
Mike is survived by his wife: Carole (Simmons) Decort of Florida and his children: Susieanne Nadolsky of Altoona, Michael R. Decort and husband Scott Decker of Hollidaysburg, Tia Zevorich and Jennifer Decort both of Johnstown and his extended family who he considered his children: Shawn Johncola of FL and Brenda (Brown) Rietscha of Portage. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and his brother-in-law: Norman Fish and wife Pam (Crum) of Portage and his sister-in-law: Judy (Kovalchek) Decort of Portage.
Mike was a retired employee with over 30 years for the former K & B Sportswear in Portage. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, painting and spending time with his family. At Mike’s request cremation services have taken place.
A reception of friends will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home Inc. in Portage.
