Obituary for Clyde E. Johns
Johns, Clyde Edgar - 69 of Portage, passed away on February 2, 2013 at home. Born June 28, 1943 in South Fork. The son of Herbert and Thelma (Peck) Johns. Preceded in death by parents, son William Howard Johns and brother Harold B. Johns. Survived by loving wife of 49 years, Judy (Salkeld) Johns, who he married on March 11, 1963 and these children: Linda S. Johns of Huntingdon, Donald R. Johns of Portage and Karen M. Johns of Glen Burnie, MD. Also survived by grandchildren: Ashley Greenlee, Brian Johns, Chelsea Greenlee, Jessica Johns, Brittney Johns and Elijah Johns all of Glen Burnie, MD. Brother of Helen Townsend, Delores Toth, Richard Johns and Terry Johns. Clyde was an avid coin collector. He enjoyed horseraces, playing the lottery and drag car races and he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and most importantly he loved spending time with his family. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Portage, where funeral services will be held Tuesday evening at 8PM. Committal will be private to the family.
