Obituary for Darlene F. O'Shaben
O'SHABEN - Darlene F., 74, Portage, passed away Nov. 13, 2015, at home. Born Aug. 28, 1941. Preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Genevieve (Moyer) Ellis. Survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Frank A. O'Shaben; daughter, Rebecca (O'Shaben) Rusnak, and husband, Charles, Elton; and son, Mark O'Shaben, and wife, Lisa (Fetsko), Portage. Also survived by her twin granddaughters, Megan and Kaitlyn Rusnak. Sister of Don Ellis, and wife, Betty (Crum), Portage. Darlene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with family. She loved to sing harmony and was a former member of the Altoona Chapter of the Sweet Adelines for many years. In addition, she served on the Election's Board Committee. Her sense of humor and loving kindness to all who knew her will be missed. Special thank you to all the caregivers at Senior Life, Ebensburg. At the family's request, there will be no viewing or visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, in the chapel at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Johnstown, Pastor Daryl Penrod of Elton Zion United Methodist Church, will be officiating.
