Shevock, Darlene, Faye – 77 of Sidman, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2023 with her husband and daughter at her side at Shadyside Hospital. She was born on August 30, 1945 in Johnstown. Darlene was the daughter of James and Evelyn (Johnson) Morgan. She is preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother James Morgan, brother John C. Morgan, Sr. and her sister: Glenna J. Garis.

She is survived by her loving husband Franck C. Shevock, Jr. “Fritz”. They were married October 7, 1974. She is also survived by her daughter: Marjorie wife of Paul Shingle of Summerhill and her granddaughters: Amanda (Bryan) Gray of NC and Victoria (Gage) Stewart of AK. And her great granddaughter: Justice Marie and numerous nieces and nephews.

Darlene was a stay at home mother until she raised her daughter Marjorie. She began working at Central Supply at Miners Hospital. Darlene attended VoTec and graduated in 1990 with her LPN. She worked hospital and nursing homes until her retirement in 2008. Darlene enjoyed working in health care and she never complained about her job. She loved RV trips and traveling in her younger years. Health concerns limited her recent adventures. She raised basic farm animals and goats and cats.

Darlene looked forward to her daily phone calls from her daughter and family. She was a 5 year cancer survivor. Most recently she endured debilitating pain which prevented her socialization. Darlene always encouraged the best of everyone.
