Obituary for David A. Miksich
Miksich, David A. – 61 of Lilly, passed away on October 28, 2021 at home. He was born on December 6, 1959 in St. Mary’s, PA. He was the son of Erla (Narby) and Ivan Miksich. He is preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather: Curtis Weyant and his brother Mark Miksich.
Dave is survived by his wife Dorothea (Faust) Miksich of Lilly, his children: Samantha Woomer (Matthew) of Altoona, David Miksich (Erin) of Bedford, Michael Miksich (Annie) of Emporium and a stepdaughter: Rachele Smith (Brian) of Lilly, his grandchildren: MaKilee, Camdyn, Xzander, Raelynn, Audrey and step grandchildren: Victoria Kayda, Cody, Levi, Jacob.
Dave was the brother of Clara Sanner (Don) of Meyersdale, Kathryn “Kathy” Mitchell of Altoona, Curtis Weyant, Jr. “Bruce” (Celeste) of Reynoldsdale; Lois White (Tom) of Pittsburgh, Carol Hovanec (Jack) of Pittsburgh, Cathy Kingerski (Mike) of Pittsburgh and Diane Mearkle (Curtis) of Everett. Dave is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Dave enjoyed the out doors and taking on projects to keep busy. He was known to be spontaneous, adventurous, he had a quirky sense of humor and he enjoyed having a good time. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
At Dave’s request there will be no viewing/visitation or service. Committal will be private to the family. The Miksich Family is being served by the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home Inc. in Portage.
