McEwan, Dolores A. “Dorie” – 69 of Portage, Passed away at home, with her family at her side, on January 29, 2022. She was born on December 31, 1952 in Altoona. Dorie was the daughter of Melrose and Olga (Hegedus) McLucas. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Dorie is survived by her loving husband: Hugh Mcewan and their daughter Melinda “Mindy” McEwan of Portage. She was the sister of Barbara wife of Don Little of Loretto, Donnie McLucas of Cassandra and Lisa McLucas of Cresson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Dorie enjoyed watching reality tv shows and old western movies. She liked vacationing when she could especially to the beach. Dorie, along with her partner in crime, Mindy, loved sneaking off together to the Casinos and playing Bingo.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. in Portage. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Portage, Fr. Thomas Stabile, Celebrant. Committal will be private to the immediate family.
