Obituary for Donald J. Fultz
Fultz, Donald J. “Tink” – 95 of Cassandra. Passed away May 1, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 22, 1921 in Cresson. He was the son of William J. and Delphine E. (McDonald) Fultz.
He is preceded in death by his parents, great grandson Jack and his sisters, Mildred and Mary and a brother Gordon.
He is survived by his loving wife Sara E. (Sanders) Fultz and these children: Charles Fultz and wife Laura (Simala) of Mars, PA and Cheryl wife of Ron Ruggeri of Greensburg; grandchildren: Charles Fultz Jr. and wife Tracy of Venetia, PA; Tracee Fultz of New York City; Jason Fultz and wife Sarah of Harborcreek,PA; Michael Fultz of Mars, PA and Caitlin Ruggeri of Denver, CO; Great Grandchildren: Anthony, Jason Jr., and Bradley. Donald is also survived by his special cousin Julie Glass of Cresson and his brother, William Fultz of Houston, TX.
Donald was a gentleman with rare, silent strength and sharp wit. He was resourceful and relied on his ingenuity when he served his country proudly as an Army Master Sergeant in the Pacific Ocean Theater of WWII. Donald was a former Co-Owner of the Cassandra Bottling Company and a former Employee for Coca Cola Enterprises. He loved to go fishing at Poe Valley with friends and family.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Thursday at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. of Portage. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 11 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 509 Caldwell Avenue in Portage, Fr. Andrew Draper, T.O.R. Committal in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Cresson.
