Obituary for Donna S. Hancharik
Hancharik, Donna S. (Jacobson) – 74 of Portage Township, passed away on August 21, 2021 in Portage. She was born on May 3, 1947 in Romance, Missouri. Donna was the daughter of Vincent and Opal (Robinson) Trent. She is preceded in death by her husbands: Ronald Jacobson and John Hancharik, Jr., brothers: Duane Trent and Dale Trent and sisters: Bonnie Andersen and Doris Selover. She is survived by her daughter: Deborah Frye and her grandchildren: Joshua Frye (Danielle), Phoebe Trent and Vincent Trent. She is also survived by her sister Helen Thayer of Illinois. Donna enjoyed all animals, especially hummingbirds, cardinals and her outside cats. She liked crafting and was good at making Jewelry. Most important to Donna was her family. She loved her trip to Maine with her daughter, Deborah, stopping to visit the lighthouses and eat her favorite food - lobster. Donna and her family enjoyed finding unique diners in the area, or what Donna liked to call “Dinering.” At Donna’s request there will be no viewing, visitation or service. The Hancharik Family is being served by the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. in Portage. Memorial Contributions may be made in Donna’s name to Centre County PAWS, 1401 Trout Road, State College, PA 16801.
