Obituary for Doris A. Erzal
Erzal, Doris A. “Dorie” – 93 of Lilly, passed away October 1, 2019 at Rebekah Manor in Portage, surrounded by her family. Doris was born on February 18, 1926 in Lilly. The daughter of the late Walter and Clara (Kois) Godish. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Erzal, Sr. and these siblings: Rudy, Anthony, Edward, Francis, Joseph, Pauline, Stella and Helen.
Doris is survived by her children: Paul R. “Butch” Erzal and wife Jeanne (Dupirack) of Portage; Sharon Galayda and husband Skip of Johnstown; and Patrick Erzal and wife Cynthia (Thibedeaux) of Lilly. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Paul S. Erzal and wife Joanna (McConnell), Matthew Erzal, Kimberly Galayda, Daniel Erzal and wife Sara (Rocker), Jenniffer wife of Sean Ream, , Nathan Erzal and wife Melissa (Garrett) and Ian Erzal and wife Rachael (McCloskey); great grandchildren: Hope Galayda, Sebastyan Kissell, Whitney and Sterling Ream, Maxwell and Brock Erzal, Paxton and Kobyn Erzal and great great grandchildren: Hayden and Ella Galayda. She is also survived by her sisters: Florence Stevens and LeAnn Inman and numerous nieces and nephews. Doris was a kind and loving mother, who loved gathering with her family.
Family will receive friends from 11 AM – 1 PM, Friday, October 4th, 2019 at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. of Portage. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 2 PM at Our Lady of the Alleghenies Church in Lilly, Fr. Matthew Reese, Celebrant. Committal will be held at St. Brigid Cemetery in Lilly.
