Obituary for Dorothy A. Lamar
Lamar, Dorothy A. – 86 of Lilly, passed away on August 9, 2022 in Johnstown. She was born on December 18, 1935 in Johnstown. Dorothy was the daughter of Chester and Veronica (Robine) McNally. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Howard Lamar, an infant grandchild and her sister: Joan Krull.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter: Paula wife of Stanley Pisarski of Portage and her son: Tom Lamar and wife Linda (Eckenrode) of Chambersburg. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Mandy wife of Chris Troxell, Jessica wife of Jonathan Hodgkins and Michael Pisarski, all of Portage, Katie wife of Duane Oaster, Brenda Lamar and Jeff Lamar, all of Chambersburg and great grandchildren: Carter, Keaton and Brandt Troxell, Colton Hodgkins, Abigail and Hailee Oaster and Aja Bartges. She was the sister of Lynn Savoy of Altoona.
Dorothy loved gardening and sewing. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she always looked forward to attending all their sporting and school events.
Family will receive friends from 4 PM until time of 7 PM Service on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. in Portage. Deacon Samuel Albarano. Committal will be in St. Brigid Cemetery in Lilly. On-line condolences may be made at www.decortfh.com
