Barto, Douglas J. “DJ” – 30 of Portage, passed away April 19, 2018 in Portage. He was born on February 23, 1988 in Altoona. He is the son of Douglas N. Barto and Kimberly A. (Bollman) Barto.
DJ is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: James and Patricia (Slebodnick) Bollman and his paternal grandmother: Norma (Dowser) Barto. He is survived by his mother: Kimberly Barto and her companion Vince Myers of Wilmore; his father: Douglas Barto and his companion Heather Nagle of Portage, his loving daughters: Alivia and Alexis Barto of Portage, and the mother of his children: Courtney Ronan of Portage. DJ is also survived by his siblings: Christopher Barto and wife Kirstie and their children: Elijah and Everett Barto, all of Portage; Nathan Barto of Portage; Ashley and Chelsea Myers of Wilmore, Skylar Barto of Portage, Kevin Nagle and Brett Litzinger, both of Portage; his grandfather, Fred Barto of Smoke Run, PA and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
DJ was a hardworking guy, who was currently employed by Weber Property Services. He loved sports and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Most importantly DJ was loving a father and he was adored by his daughters.
At the request of the family services will be private. The Barto and Ronan Families are being served by the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home Inc. of Portage.
