Obituary for Francis J. Brown, Sr.

Brown, Francis, J. Sr. - 72 of Portage Township. Passed away February 7, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. Born March 25, 1940 in Portage. The son of George and Alice (Killinger) Brown. Preceded in death by parents and brothers George, Leo and James. Survived by wife Donna (Decort) Brown of Portage and these children: Roxanne wife of Larry Shaffer of Summerhill, Francis "Peck" Brown of Portage, Roger Brown and wife Heidi of Northern Cambria, Brenda Rietscha of Portage and Cheryl Ann wife of John Birk of Lilly. Also survived by 12 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. Brother of Jane Workman of W. VA, Donald Brown, William Brown, both of Philadelphia, Mary Glessner of Lilly, Patricia Spalla of Northern Cambria, Kathleen Kukla of Cresson, JoAnn Casteel of Johnstown, Robert Brown of Portage and David Brown of OH. A retired Kitchen Supervisor for the Cresson Center with over 37 years of service. Frank was an avid hunter and fisherman. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Monday at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. of Portage. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Portage, Fr. Walter Moll, celebrant. Committal in St. Bartholomew Church Cemetery in Wilmore.
