Obituary for Gloria L. Tewart
Tewart, Gloria L. (Adams) – 71 of Portage, passed away on December 4, 2018 in Johnstown. She was born on April 24, 1947 in Johnstown. She was the daughter of Robert “Clair” and Eunola (Lysinger) Adams. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband George Tewart, her siblings: Marie Bozich and Clair Adams, grandson: Eric Secriskey and daughter-in-law: Paula Tewart.
Gloria is survived by her sons: Kevin Adams and companion Cathy Ellis of Ebensburg, Gene Tewart of Portage, Jeff Tewart of Portage and Eric Tewart and wife Kaho of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Sheila Adams, Shilo wife of Steven Burkett, Stephanie, Lance, and Liam Tewart, Brandon James and wife Ashley and Jess Boreck and companion Ben Kick.
Gloria was the sister of Nola wife of Richard Fletcher of Portage, Charles Adams of Portage, John “Ben” Adams and wife Janet of Ebensburg, and Herbert “Hubba” Adams of Portage. Gloria was a 1966 graduate of Portage Area High School. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Portage where she was active in their Bible Study. She was a retired aide from the Ebensburg Center with many years of service. Most importantly, Gloria loved spending time with her granddaughters Sheila and Shilo.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, December 6th at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. of Portage. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 7th at 11 AM at Bethany United Methodist Church in Portage, Pastor Arthur Black, officiant. Committal in Mount Moriah Cemetery in Blue Knob.
