Obituary for Herman W. Miller
Miller, Herman W., 82 of Portage, passed away on March 30, 2023 in Windber, PA. He was born on June 27, 1940 in Blue Knob, PA. Herman was the son of Sherman O. and Geraldine (McVicker) Miller. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Sherman, Vernon and Robert, his sister: Bonnie Klett and his canine companion: Pinky.
Herman is survived by his brother Edward Miller and his wife Patsy of Portage. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was formerly employed by Helsel’s Lumber Mill and he had over 20 years of service at E. L. Jones Construction Company. In the past, Herman enjoyed hunting, motorcycles and spending time with his dog, Pinky.
At Herman’s request there will be no viewing or visitation. A Committal Service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 3:30 PM at The Forest Lawn Memorial Park Chapel in Johnstown. The Family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Herman’s name to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Avenue, Windber, PA 15963.
