Obituary for Homer D. McLucas
McLucas, Homer D. – 88 of Cassandra, passed away on April 4, 2019 in Ebensburg. He was born on April 26. 1930 in Lilly. Homer was the son of James and Blanche (Lee) McLucas. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife: Cecelia (Galligan) and his second wife Norma (Franey), his brothers Norman, James, Melrose and Robert and his sister-in-law: Nancy Franey.

Homer is survived by his sister-in-law: Winifred McLucas of Lilly and special family and friends: Michelle Beck, Lisa Smith, George Kuzar and Regis Shall. He served his Country proudly as a Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Portage American Legion Post #430 and the Sankertown VFW #7377. At Homer’s request there will be no viewing and/or visitation.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 11 AM at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Wilmore. Fr. Nale, Celebrant. Committal in St. Bartholomew Church Cemetery. Military Rites will be held by the Portage Ritual Team.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Homer’s name to the Cambria County Humane Society.

The McLucas family is being served by the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. of Portage.
