McEwan, Hugh A. - 94 of Portage. Passed away on February 4, 2012 in Altoona. Born December 10, 1917 in Portage. The son of Archibald J. and Anna E. (Smith) McEwan. Preceded in death by parents, and wife Teresa (Kleman) McEwan. Survived by children: Jean McEwan of Portage; Arlene McGough of WV; Hugh McEwan and wife Dorie (McLucas) of Portage; Teresa wife of Michael Frakes; Kathleen wife of Randall Van Vraken; both of VA and Donna wife of Thomas Valle of NJ. Also survived by 12 Grandchildren & 10 Great Grandchildren, Step sister: Unice Kemp of FL and numerous nieces and nephews. Hugh was the last surviving member of his immediate family and he was a WWII Army Veteran. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc, Portage. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Portage, Fr. Walter Moll, Officiating. Committal in St. Bartholomew Cemetery in Wilmore. Graveside military rites by the Portage Ritual Team.
