Obituary for Isabel L. Kordish
Kordish, Isabel. L. - 95 of Curwensville, Clearfield County, formerly of Portage, passed away on July 18, 2014 at Ridgeview Eldercare Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville. She was born November 16, 1918 in Portage Township to Thomas and Margaret (Cowen) Wardrop. Isabel is preceded in death by her parents, husband John Kordish who passed away in 1982, a daughter, Nancy Jane, a son, Thomas Mark, and these siblings: sisters: Alice, Mary Jane Sharpe, Margaret Kleman, Elizabeth Kleman, Patricia Herbert and brothers: William, David, Robert, James, Richard and Thomas. She is survived by her daughter, Lorna wife of James Richardson of Luttrell, Tennessee and son, John Kordish and wife Susan of Curwensville. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and great-great grandchildren. Isabel was a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Portage and she was formerly employed at the Cresson State School and Hospital until her retirement. Family will receive a reception of friends from 10 AM until time of service on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 11 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church in Portage. Memorial contributions may be made in Isabel's name to the Trinity United Methodist Church in Portage, 817 Caldwell Avenue, Portage, PA 15946 and/or Clearfield Area Agency on Aging, Inc., PO Box 550, Clearfield, PA 16830.
