Obituary for Jacob Daniel Pauley
Pauley, Jacob “Dan”- 62 of Cassandra, passed away on March 7, 2018 in Johnstown after a two year battle with cancer. He was born on December 4, 1955 in Johnstown. He was the son of John and Harriet “Tink” (Klock) Pauley. Dan is preceded in death by his father and his brother Greg Pauley.
He is survived by his mother, his loving wife of 42 years Mary (Tremel) Pauley of Cassandra and these children: Jacob Pauley Jr. and wife Melissa of Canonsburg; Justin Pauley of Cassandra and Annette wife of Joseph Ditosti of Cassandra. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Alexis and Adrienne Ditosti and Trey, Taylor and Payton Pauley. He is the brother of John Pauley and wife Barbara of Summerhill Township and Glenn Pauley of Chester, MD. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Dan was employed by Sheetz Store Development as a Warehouse/Procurement Manager for the past 14 years. He loved to cook for his loved ones, but most importantly he loved being "Pap" to his grandchildren and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed their trips to the Outer Banks and Deep Creek Lake.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Monday at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. of Portage. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church in Portage, Pastor Arthur Black, officiant.
Committal in St. Brigid Cemetery in Lilly. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to All Saints Catholic School, 220 Powell Avenue, Cresson, PA 16630. On-line condolences may be made at www.decortfh.
