Obituary for James A. Harlin
Harlin, James A. – 82 of Portage, passed away on May 21, 2024 at home. He was born on November 9, 1941 in Gallitzin, PA. Jim was the son of Joseph and Violia (Richards) Harlin. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters: Dorothy Nestor (Bill) and Ruth Misiura (Walter).
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years: Margaret “Elaine” (Williams) Harlin and their daughters: Pam Wright (Randy) and Sherry Christina (Curt). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Greg (Kristin), Tyler, Marah (Erich), Kyle and Lyndsey. He was the brother of Mary Lou Griffith.
Jim loved to spend time with his family at camp. He enjoyed fishing, working on his 1941 Mercury Coupe, street rod, gardening and making wine.
At Jim’s request there will be no viewing, visitation or services. The Harlin Family is being served by the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home Inc. in Portage.
