Obituary for James K. Miller, Sr.
Miller, James K. Sr. – 85 of Summerhill. Our father went home to God to celebrate Christmas with his wife early on Christmas morning. Our dad enjoyed socializing with friends, sharing in the lives of his children, and watching his beloved football. He is preceded in death by his parents: Harold and Margaret (Peterson) Miller, his brothers: David and Don Miller, his sister: Kathleen Laugher, his wife: Carole B. O’Reilly-Miller and his daughter: Margaret Ann Miller.
Our Dad leaves behind his daughters: Kimberlie J. Mangina and her husband, Michael of Linden, NJ and Karen L. Devigili and her husband, John of Kenilworth, NJ and his son: James K. Miller, Jr and his wife Shannon (Naugle) of Upper Yoder Township, PA. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Angela (Daniel) Lueddeke, Alicia (Brendan) Erickson, Johnny Devigili, Marissa Veltre, Danielle Devigili, James Miller, Michael Mangina, Jr. and Matthew Miller, his great grandsons: Daniel and Connor Lueddeke and many nieces and nephews. Our dad was the brother of Judy Dembowski and her husband Bill of Elton, PA.
We will miss our Dad immensely. We take comfort knowing that he is at peace and with the love of his life. Family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. in Portage and from 10 AM until time of 11 AM service, Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Christ Lutheran Church, 337 Elknud Lane, Johnstown, PA 15905, Pastor Julia Sprinkle, officiant.
