Obituary for James P. Kovach, Jr.
38 of Portage, passed away on September 8, 2018 in Portage. He was born on May 21, 1980 in Johnstown. He was the son of James Sr. and Rebecca (Smith) Kovach. He is preceded in death by his father. Jim is survived by his mother, his sister: Mandy wife of Manuel Degraffenreid of Wilkes-Barre, PA, his brother: Ryan Kovach and wife Maria (Sinosky) of Sidman and his nieces and nephews: Chloe and Isabella Degraffenreid and Ryder, Hudson and Harper Kovach. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jim was a hard working, loving and caring person with a big heart. He was a great son, brother and uncle especially to his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He looked forward to planting flowers and vegetables with his mother. He was a great cook. At the family’s request viewing/visitation and Funeral Services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Decort Funeral Home Inc., 532 Main Street of Portage to help with final expenses.
