Obituary for Jeffrey Ryan Harvey
Harvey, Jeffrey R. – 31 of Portage. Passed away on June 7, 2016 at home. He was born on January 10, 1985 in Johnstown. The son of Jeffrey L. and Marlene E. (Reed) Harvey. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Paul, Sr. and Ruth Reed and paternal grandparents: Alfred and Dolores Harvey. He is survived by his parents and his sister, Meagan wife of Steve New of Portage and his canine friends: Troy and Wimpy. Jeffrey is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Paul, Reed Jr. of Philipsburg, PA; LuAnn wife of Dave Gierl of Highspire, PA; Jim Reed and wife Gail of Haymarket, VA; Nancy wife of Henry Feathers of Beavertown, PA; Len Reed of Haymarket, VA; and Wesley Harvey of Portage, and numerous cousins and friends. Jeffrey is a 2003 graduate of Portage Area High School and a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, where he received his associates degree in Applied Sciences of Diesel Technology. He was formerly employed by Tri County Motors as a diesel mechanic. Jeffrey enjoyed gardening and grilling out. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM on Friday at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc. of Portage, where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, Reverend Arlene Bobrowicz. Committal will be private to the family.
