Obituary for Joann M. Maul
Maul, Joann M. (Herman) – 85 of Portage. Joann went to be with the Lord on September 23, 2017. She was born on May 22, 1932 in Johnstown. She was the daughter of John and Ruth (Helsel) Herman. Joann is preceded in death by her parents, her son: Thomas Maul, and her siblings: Beverly (David) Hutchinson, Reba Strayer, Jack Herman and Robert (Joan) Herman.
She is survived by her daughter Karen McCabe, grandchildren: Christopher (Janine) Arnold, Stacy (Tim) Trusik, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. She is also survived by her sister: Donna Weitzel.
Joann was a devout member of Portage Christian Missionary Alliance Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed and looked forward to her weekly card games with Rudelle, Dory and Beverly. Joann was a proud member of the Portage Community for 85 years and will be remembered by all for her great sense of humor, dedication to family and her willingness to help all.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. of Portage. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM at Portage Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Pastor Cal Weidemann, officiant. Committal in Mount Moriah Cemetery, Blue Knob.
