Obituary for Joanne M. Salovich
Salovich, Joanne M. -76 of Greencastle, PA, formerly of Portage, passed away on April 24, 2019. She was born on April 19, 1943 in Portage. She was the daughter of Walter and Susan (Knapp) Barish. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son: Christopher Salovich and her brother: Walter Barish.
Joanne is survived by her loving sons: James “Jamie” Salovich and wife Julie of Mercersburg, PA, and Stephen “Scott” Salovich and wife Karen of Poolesville, MD and her grandchildren: James, Joseph, Riley and Breanna Salovich. She is also survived by the father of her sons and friend: George “Sal” Salovich. She was the sister of James Barish of South Fork and Cecelia “Babe” wife of Ray “Jiggs” Reighard of Greencastle, PA.
Joanne lived her life to the fullest. Family was her World. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Joanne touched many lives in her lifetime and she will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 12PM – 2PM at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. of Portage. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:30 PM at Ss.
