Obituary for Judith A. George
George, Judith A. – 64 of Lilly, passed away on April 13, 2019 in Altoona. She was born on January 28, 1955 in Altoona. Judy was the daughter of Naomi (George) and Raymond Bowman Sr. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Bernie George, and her siblings: Gayle Shandor and Raymond Bowman, Jr.
Judy is survived by her loving daughter: Mandy wife of Abraham Livai of Lilly, and her grandchildren: Abigail, Elijah and Lilah Livai all of Lilly. She is also survived by her nieces: Rebecca wife of Paul Roberts of Cresson and Karen Vermeulin of Cresson and her nephew: Jason Pupo of Bellwood. Judy was the sister-in-law of Janice Bowman of Portage and John George of Hollidaysburg.
She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Lilly. Judy enjoyed helping the Lilly Volunteer Fire Company by working with the crew in the kitchen. Family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, April 16th, 2019 at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. of Portage.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 17th, 2019 at 11 AM at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Lilly. Committal will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Polish National Cemetery in Lilly.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s name to the Lilly Volunteer Fire Company. On-line condolences may be made at www.decortfh.com
