Obituary for Judith E. Gorba
Gorba, Judith E. – 78 of Portage, passed away on August 14, 2019 in Roaring Spring. She was born on September 12, 1940 in Duncansville. She was the daughter of Harry and Virginia (Helsel) Diehl. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Amie H. Gorba, her brothers: Charles and Donald Diehl and a sister-in-law: Roberta Diehl.
She is survived by her children: Bernie Gorba and wife Renee (Smith) of Portage; Gwen wife of Thomas Porreca of Martinsburg; and Walter Gorba and wife Kristen (Schafer) of Applegate, CA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Lydia Gorba and her fiancée Matthew Brumbaugh; Rebecca, Sunny and Mallory Gorba and Colton Porreca. She was the sister of Bonnie wife of Pastor Carl Wolfe of Ashville and Barbara wife of Dennis Peters of Cresson. She is also survived by her sister in law Sylvia Diehl and numerous nieces and nephews.
Judy was an avid reader and she loved all sports, especially Penn State Football. Her family meant everything to her and she was especially proud of her grandchildren. She attended sporting events and was their biggest fan though all aspects of their lives. She leaves behind nothing but precious memories of laughter and love.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Saturday, August 17th at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Sunday, August 18th, Stephanie Betsa, officiant. Committal will be private to the family.
