Obituary for Kathleen A. Layo
“Kathy” – 70 of Portage, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends, on September 22, 2020. She was born on March 11, 1950 in Johnstown. Kathy is preceded in death by her mother: Kathleen (Froggatt) Ronan and her sister: Doris Vello. She is survived by her sons: David J. Layo and Deven J. Layo, whom she shared with her former husband: Bob Layo of Portage. She is also survived by her daughters-in-law: Courtney St. Clair and Breanna (Shope) Layo both of Portage and her grandsons: Braedon St. Clair and Bode Layo both of Portage. She was the sister of Mark Ronan of Johnstown and Randi wife of John Reitz of Portage. All were always welcome at Kathy’s home. She enjoyed good conversation over a glass of wine with her family and friends. She had a green thumb and she looked forward to planting her morning glories and garden every year. At Kathy’s request there will be no viewing/visitation or services. The Layo Family is being served by the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. of Portage.
