Obituary for Lucille J. Campagna
Campagna, Lucille J. – 87 of Lilly, passed away on May 6, 2019 in Altoona. She was born on November 29, 1931 in Lilly. Lucille was the daughter of August and Carmella (Courvina) Campagna. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: John, Natale “Cook” and Victor Campagna and her sisters: Florine, Cindy and Nilda Campagna and Louise Armold.
She is survived by her sister Patty McConnell of Cresson, her loving niece Ava Ann Campagna of Lilly and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Lucille enjoyed baking and cooking for the holidays and for family weddings. She loved to play bingo. She was a member of Our Lady of the Alleghenies Church in Lilly. Lucille was formerly employed at the Cresson Sanitorium in the Laundry Department, where she served for over 32 years until retirement. She enjoyed attending Senior Life in Ebensburg, where she made many friends.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. of Portage. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 11 AM at Our Lady of the Alleghenies Catholic Church in Lilly, Fr. Kevin Quealley, Celebrant. Committal in St. Brigid Cemetery in Lilly.
