Obituary for Margaret E. Giordano
Giordano, Margaret E. “Peg” – 75 of Portage, formerly of New York City, passed away on March 20, 2020 in Ebensburg. She was born on June 18, 1944 in New York City. Peg was the daughter of William and Marie (Hurbanek) Kelly. She is preceded in death by her parents and several siblings. She is survived by her children: Jeanne Hablitz (Jef) of Highlands, NJ; Alfred Giordano (Kerry) of Portage; and Anthony Giordano (Fumiko) of Gloversville, NY. Peg is also survived by 10 grandchildren. She was formerly employed in financial services for New York Hospital and for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. She enjoyed spending weekends in Lancaster, PA. She was an avid story teller and she enjoyed collecting antiques. At the family’s request there will be no viewing, visitation or services. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Giordano Family is being served by the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. in Portage.
