Obituary for Peggy Tavernini
Tavernini, Margaret S. “Peggy” – 64 of Portage, passed away on September 30, 2022 at home. She was born on August 13, 1958 in Fort Knox, KY. She was the daughter of Ann (Martynuska) and Ray Sanders. Peggy is preceded in death by her father and her brothers-in-law: Robert Kukucka and Mark Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Alan “Butch” Tavernini, her mother: Ann Sanders and her son: Craig Pearce and his girlfriend Heidi, all of Portage.
She is also survived by her siblings: Lori wife of Brian Myers of Portage, Cathleen Kukucka of Portage, Colleen Brown of FL and Ray Sanders and his wife Mary of Portage and numerous nieces and nephews and her canine companions Gus and Simon.
Peggy was formerly employed by St. Francis University and by the former Portage Bakery. Funeral Services will be private to the immediate family. The Tavernini and Sanders Families are being served by the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. in Portage.
