Obituary for Marie Minor
Minor, Marie - 92 of Beaverdale, Summerhill Township, passed away on October 29th, 2020 in Johnstown. She was born on April 7, 1928 in Yport, France. Marie was the daughter of Raymond and Louise Prunevieille. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas Minor, a grandson: Shawn Yatsky and a son-in-law: Andy Paulson. Marie is survived by her children: Sam Minor and wife Joni of NE; Tom Minor and wife Wanda of Windber; Mary Lou wife of Joe Krupka of Sidman; Theresa Paulson of Dunlo; Daniel “Jake” Minor and wife Barb of Indiana; Betty wife of Doug Gregory of TN; Jackie wife of Barry Moore of Johnstown and Pam wife of Mike Brence of VA. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; and her in-laws: Nick and Pauline Minor of Wilmore; Patricia Minor of Portage; Martha Minor of Seanor and Marge Minor of Summerhill and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Marie was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael and a member of the Dunlo American Legion. Most important to Marie was her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Due to Covid-19 immediate family will be received from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, November 2nd, 2020 at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. in Portage. Funeral Mass will be held for the immediate family on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael, Monsignor Lockard and Fr. Brian Warchola, Celebrants. Please practice the recommended guidelines for social distancing. Masks are mandatory unless you have a bonafide medical illness. Committal in St. Bartholomew Cemetery in Wilmore. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Marie’s name to St. Michael Catholic Church, PO Box 103, St. Michael, PA 15951. On-line condolences may be made at www.decortfh.com
