Obituary for Mary Ann Hoberney
Hoberney, Mary Ann – 76 of Lilly, passed away on May 3, 2023 at home. She was born on March 20, 1947 in Benscreek. She was the daughter of Albert “Reindeer” and Mary (Hooder) Lesko. Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband Walter C. “Sonny” Hoberney, whom she married on July 15, 1967. Mary Ann is also survived by her children: Alan Hoberney and his wife Susan (Motel) of Portage and Camette wife of Owen Standley of Johnstown, her grandchildren: Justin Hoberney and fiancé, Leah Marko of Johnstown and Alex and Alyssa Hoberney, both of Portage and her faithful canine pal: Rocky.
Mary Ann was a 1965 graduate of Portage Area Highschool. She was a retired housekeeper at the Rectory for Holy Name Catholic Church in Ebensburg. Mary Ann enjoyed trips to the casinos. Most important to Mary Ann was her family. She enjoyed spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren and her fur babies.
