Obituary for Mary Grace Litzinger
95 of Portage. Passed away on June 29, 2016 in Portage. She was born on October 12, 1920 in Portage. Grace is the daughter of Fred and Anna (Miller) George. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Wallace Litzinger, Sr., son: Harold "Butch" Litzinger, great-grandson: Daniel Litzinger, son-in-law: David Motel and her siblings: Walter George, Ethel Douglass, Josephine Walkovich and Leroy George. Grace is survived by her children: Connie wife of Glenn Glasglow of Jimtown, Ruth Motel of Lilly, Wallace Litzinger , Jr. and wife Judy of Portage, Joseph Litzinger and wife Pearl of Portage and daughter-in-law: Carol Litzinger of Lilly. Also survived by grandchildren: Paul, Sherry, Leesha, Jeffrey, Nicholaus, Susan, Michael, Brian, Kevin, David, Susan, John, Wendy, Stacey, Carrie, Wallace III, Dale, Adam, Joseph, Jesse, Jason and numerous great grandchildren. Grace was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a former volunteer in the gift shop at Cambria Care Center and a volunteer cook with her sister Josephine at the former St. Joseph Catholic Church in Portage. Grace was always there to lend a helping hand to her family and she loved to cook and bake for everyone that she knew. Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM on Friday at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. of Portage. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Portage. Committal in St. Bartholomew Cemetery in Wilmore. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Graces name to Holy Family Church: People Helping People Fund, 509 Caldwell Avenue, Portage, PA 15946.
