Obituary for Mary Jane Paul
Paul, Mary Jane - 90 of Jerome, formerly of Portage. Passed away on August 1, 2016 at Somerset Hospital. She was born on November 12, 1925 in South Fork. She was the daughter of Charles and Martha (George) McMonigal. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John S. Paul, Sr., a daughter Mary Jane "Janie" Johnson, a granddauther: Melissa Ayn Paul and numerous siblings. She is survived by her son John S. Paul, Jr. and wife Diane (Thomas) of Rockwood and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary Jane is the last surviving member of her immediate family. An avid reader and she loved all animals. A 1943 graduate of the former South Fork High School. She was a former employee of Publix Shirt Factory in Gallitzin, where she worked as a presser and clerk. Mary Jane was a former resident of Country Manor in Jerome. Family will receive friends from 1 to 4 PM on Friday at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of Portage, where a service will be held on Friday at 4 PM. Committal will be private to the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Cambria County Humane Society in Mary Jane's name.
