Obituary for Patrick A. Galla
Galla, Patrick A. “Pat”, 67 of Portage, passed away on December 30, 2023 at home. He was born on May 15, 1956 in Johnstown. Pat was the son of William and Alice “Mary” (Babish) Galla. He is preceded in death by his father, his wife Cynthia (Hartline) Galla, his brother, James Galla and his uncle, Frank Babish.
Pat is survived by his mother of Portage and his sisters: Christine “Tina” Beavers and Kathleen “Kathy” wife of John Korcek, his sister-in-law: Linda (Graham) Galla, his aunt, Darlene (Evans) Babish and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Pat was a 1974 graduate of Portage Area High School. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Dickinson College and his Master’s of Art Degree in Labor Relations from St. Francis University. He was lastly employed as a Human Resource Director for Crown American Associates. In Pat’s younger days, he enjoyed hunting with his father and his brother Jimmy.
At Pat’s request there will be no viewing, visitation or service. The Galla Family is being served by the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home Inc. in Portage.
