Obituary for Paul D. Reed, Jr.
Reed, Paul D. Jr. – 64 of Philipsburg, formerly of Portage, passed away on November 21, 2018 in Philipsburg. He was born on February 19, 1954. He was the son of Paul D. Reed, Sr. and Ruth (Chambers) Reed. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Paul is survived by his daughter: Nicole wife of Chad Keller and by his son: Jenard. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, his 3 sisters: Lu Ann wife of David Gierl of Highspire, PA; Marlene wife of Jeff Harvey of Portage and Nancy wife of Henry Feathers of Beavertown, PA; and 2 brothers: Jim Reed and wife Gail and Leonard Reed of Hay Market, VA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul Loved gardening while living at Windy Hill Village Nursing Home. He spent many hours tending the flowers with patients and visitors, admiring their beauty. He loved to help decorate the bulletin boards at the home for the holidays and changing seasons. He was involved in many of the nursing home group activities.
At Paul’s request there will be no viewing and/or visitation. The Reed Family is being served by the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. in Portage.
