Obituary for Rena "Pudge" Wilcox
Wilcox, Rena J. “Pudge” – 89 of Cassandra, passed away on February 7, 2018 in Johnstown. She was born on December 6, 1928 in Ohio. She was the daughter of Jacob and Maggie (Yetsko) Wytosick. Pudge is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Delbert “Clyde” Wilcox, her brother: Steve “Chink” Wytosick and her brother-in-law: Bob Long.
She is survived by her loving children: Barry Wilcox and wife Annette of NC; Cheryl Monroe-Medonich and husband Paul of VA; Rick Wilcox of Lancaster, PA; Pam wife of Jerry Whitcomb of Lancaster, PA; Renee wife of Chet Hochrein of Cassandra; Sondra wife of Dan Kerch of Portage and Jeanie Wilcox of Lancaster, PA; grandchildren: Hannah Porter (Mark); Dominic Mutch (Andi); Charlie Monroe (Sean McNally); Grant Wilcox; Melissa, Rashelle, and Jared Whitcomb; Katie Fuller (Steve); Zach Hochrein; Bailey and Noah Kerch; Jamie Shelly and Stephanie Kochel; great grandchildren: Drake and Amia Mutch and Joel and Natalie Stanchek; and Baby "Pschka" Fuller. Pudge is also survived by her siblings: Margaret “Babe” Long of Mich; Sylvia wife of Matthew Bodosky of NC; Georgette wife of Sparkey Parkin of Portage; her sister-in-law: Barb Wytosick of Portage, her special cousin: Kay Olszewski and her beloved grand-puppies: Ragzie and Cobie.
An active member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Pudge, served for many years on the kitchen crew and as a former administrative council member. She was a volunteer for the Portage Area Summerfest Committee. Pudge enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing. She was a former Seamstress for many years at the Portage Sewing Factory. She loved sports, especially her Pittsburgh Teams and Penn State.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Monday at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. of Portage. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at Bethany United Methodist Church in Portage, Pastor Arthur Black Officiant.
Committal will be held in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Johnstown.
