Obituary for Rieta M. Zibura
Zibura, Rieta, M. 69 of Portage, passed away at home on October 21, 2024. She was born on February 10, 1955 in Johnstown. Rieta was the daughter of Herman and Rose (Caurvina) Luckenbaugh. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers James and Herman Luckenbaugh.
Rieta is survived by her husband, Michael P. Zibura of Portage and her children: Michael Zibura and his wife Kelly of Westmont, PA, Nicole McDonald of Greensboro, NC, Melissa Kissell and her husband David of Altoona and Samantha Wade and her husband Simon of Hollidaysburg. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Zane, Brooks, Maximilian, Milo, Lola, Trey, Shamar, Nytia, Paige and Preston and 3 great grandchildren. Rieta was the sister of Edward Luckenbaugh and his wife Shirley of South Fork, PA.
She was a member of the Portage Amvets Ladies Auxillary. Rieta enjoyed going to youth sporting events, trips to the beach, traveling, and casinos. Although not a fan of camping, she loved visiting those who were. A Celebration of Rieta’s Life will be announced at a later date. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Rieta’s name to a charity of your choice. Live life to the fullest and the next time you are in company of good friends, good food and drink, remember Rieta.
