Obituary for Robert L. Gauntner
Gauntner, Robert L. – 88 of Johnstown, passed away on June 20, 2022 in Windber. He was born on January 6, 1934 in Portage. Robert was the son of Grace E. (Swanson) and Kleda L. Gauntner. He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter: Sheri J. Gauntner and his former wife: Regina Anne “Jean” (McIntosh) Gauntner.
Robert is survived by his son: Bret D. Gauntner of TN, his daughter Kelly L. Connell of FL and his grandchildren: Nichole Teratola, Angela Rastelli and great grandchildren: Jada and Lexi Teratola, Bella, John and Anthony Rastelli. Robert is also survived by his brother, Donald E. Gauntner and wife Sue of Seven Valleys. PA.
He served his Country proudly as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve. Robert was the recipient of the Legion of Merit Award. He was a former Superintendent at Richland School District. A Military Honors Service and committal will be private to the family.
