Obituary for Robert Brickley
Brickley, Robert G. “Bob” – 66 of Portage. Passed away on March 14,2016 with his wife Maria at his side. He was born on June 15, 1949 in Altoona. He was the second child of Dallas and Grace (Barner) Brickley. He was preceded in death by his father, Dallas. He is survived by his mother Grace, his wife Maria (Kunrod), his sons, Chad and wife Bridget (Hack), and grandsons, Aidan and Samuel, Erick and wife Cindy (Dipko), and grandsons, Jon and Luke. He is also survived by his sister Darla Rapski and husband Neil and his brother Roger Brickley and wife Monica. Also survived by a niece, nephews, great nieces and a great nephew. On Sunday, March 20th, the first day of Spring, Bob and Maria would have celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary. If anyone loved to cut grass and have a perfectly groomed lawn, it was Bob. On his lawn, he made a baseball field for his grandsons and all of their buddies. Bob enjoyed spending time and playing with his grandsons and their friends. He was a life member of the Portage Area Volunteer Fire Department. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday, March 16th at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home, Inc. of Portage. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 17th at Bethany United Methodist Church at 10 AM, Pastor Arthur Black, Officiant. Private burial for the family will be held at St. Bartholomew Church Cemetery in Wilmore
